Montare Sneaker Collection Launch

The House of Rare, through its Rare’Z footwear line, announced the Montare collection in October 2026. The collection is positioned as a sharper‑edged alternative to traditional formal footwear, blending casual sneaker aesthetics with tailored design cues.

Pricing for the Montare range is set between ₹5,999 and ₹6,499, and the products are available across all The House of Rare retail outlets nationwide, as well as on the brand’s website and mobile app.

Design and Product Details

Montare is built around a flat‑soled silhouette, clean proportions, and supple leather that offers a glove‑like fit. The construction is breathable for all‑day comfort, while elastic laces and flexible collars provide secure yet slip‑on functionality. Each shoe carries a key motif derived from the Montare logo, reinforcing the brand’s visual identity.

The collection comprises four variants: K and K7 for men, and Q and Q7 for women. The K and Q models feature flatter toe shapes, streamlined profiles, and stylised “R” panels as a visual signature. The K7 and Q7 models present a softer counterpoint with rounded toes and gathered elastic collars. Select variants include subtle debossed branding and metal‑lining trim. Both the Q and Q7 models offer two lace options, one of which is a printed lace. The colour palette spans muted neutrals, earthy tones, and more expressive shades, allowing the silhouette and detailing to dominate the visual appeal.

Executive Commentary

Founder and Creative Director Manish Poddar explained that the design philosophy behind Montare focuses on the balance of proportion and the impact of small, deliberate details. He noted, “Good design is as much about what you choose to leave out as what you choose to put in… a small shift in shape or a detail that might seem incidental can change the entire personality of a shoe.”
