HSBC announced that it has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with the Indian real‑estate developer Prestige Group to construct the “Prestige JRC Signature Towers” – a fully integrated campus of approximately 1.2 million square feet on the Outer Ring Road in Bengaluru. The press release, dated July 1 2026, states that once completed the campus will rank among the largest corporate campuses in India and reflects HSBC’s long‑term commitment to the Indian market.
Campus Details
The new facility is intended to bring together HSBC colleagues who are currently dispersed across multiple locations in Bengaluru, consolidating more than 40,000 staff members who work in the bank’s Global Service & Technology Centres – the largest such hubs worldwide. The campus will feature high‑quality workplace infrastructure, vibrant collaboration spaces, a large dining facility, multi‑functional areas for town‑hall meetings and learning and development, outdoor and community zones, direct metro connectivity, and ample parking.
Strategic Significance
Group CEO Georges Elhedery emphasized that India is a critical talent centre and a key market for HSBC, noting that co‑locating employees will enable faster decision‑making, closer collaboration, and enhanced expertise to support customers. Group Chief Operating Officer Suzy White added that the design is aimed at supporting the future of work, combining modern workplace design, accessibility, sustainability, and colleague wellbeing.
Sustainability and Certifications
Sustainability and wellbeing have been central to the campus design, with the project targeting both Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum and WELL Building Standard Platinum certifications. These standards underline HSBC’s commitment to creating an environmentally responsible and people‑focused workplace.
