Hunch Ventures, a New Delhi‑based family office, announced that it has entered the sports ecosystem by acquiring the Bhubaneswar Tigers franchise in the Odisha T20 League, in partnership with Jyote Motors, an Odisha‑based business group.
League Details
The Odisha T20 League, also referred to as the CM Trophy, is scheduled to commence on 20 September 2026 at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, featuring six competing franchises.
Team Information
The Bhubaneswar Tigers will play their inaugural match on 21 September 2026 against the Keonjhar Miners. The squad consists of 16 players, with Swastik Samal appointed as captain and Subit Biswal serving as head coach.
Strategic Context
This acquisition represents Hunch Ventures’ second foray into sports investments, following its earlier involvement with the Kolkata Banga Tigers franchise in the Rugby Premier League.
