A fire incident occurred at the manufacturing facility of the company's supplier, Mobis India Limited ("Mobis"), located in Irrungattukottai, Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu. The incident occurred in the late afternoon of May 31, 2026. No fatalities were reported.
The affected Mobis facility supplies audio components and a few other automotive parts to Hyundai Motor India Limited.
Hyundai and Mobis teams are working closely to assess the situation and the extent of the damage to the Mobis facility. The incident is expected to result in a temporary disruption to the company's production. Alternative sourcing and supply continuity measures are being actively explored to minimize the operational impact. The company stated that there is sufficient vehicle inventory in its dealer network to meet customer demand.
