Hyundai Motor and TVS Motor signed a Joint Development Agreement to co‑develop and commercialize electric three‑wheelers in India and other markets.
Hyundai will lead design using its R&D and human‑centric approach, while TVS will provide its electric platform, local sales and manufacturing.
The partners will localize major component production in India to strengthen the supply chain, cut costs, create jobs and ensure spare‑parts availability.
The first E3W vehicle, featuring adaptive ground clearance, safety and thermal management, aims for mass production after testing and certification.
