ICFAI Business School Announces IBSAT 2026 Admissions
On November 7, 2026, ICFAI Business School (IBS) issued a press release via PRNewswire stating that applications are now open for the ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test (IBSAT) 2026, the entrance examination for its two‑year, full‑time MBA and PGPM programmes. Prospective candidates may apply for admission to any of IBS’s nine campuses located in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.
The first registration deadline is set for December 1, 2026. The initial testing window is scheduled for December 5 and 6, 2026, and the institute will conduct the exam in a multi‑stage format across four weekend cycles throughout December. The exam is remote‑proctored, allowing candidates to take it from home during two daily time slots—11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Results for each weekend cycle will be published on the following Monday.
IBS is maintaining its Rs10 crore merit‑scholarship scheme for the upcoming academic year. Under this scheme, a scholarship of Rs2 lakh will be awarded to the 500 highest‑scoring candidates, based on their performance in IBSAT or other recognised national entrance examinations.
IBSAT 2026 is a 140‑minute, online multiple‑choice test comprising 140 questions divided into four sections: Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension and Data Interpretation. The test carries no negative marking. In addition to IBSAT scores, IBS will also consider scores from CAT, XAT, NMAT by GMAC and GMAT. A single application form covers all nine campuses.
Candidates who are shortlisted will advance to the final selection stage in February 2027, which will include micro‑presentations and personal interviews.
The institute highlights that it has consistently achieved a placement rate exceeding 90% over its more than 30‑year history. IBS now boasts nearly 79,000 alumni, of whom 40% occupy senior‑management positions and 10% work in international roles.
Online registration is available at ibsat.org, while physical application forms can be obtained from IBS Information Offices.
