Overview
ICFAI Business School (IBS) announced on 30 October 2026 that the slot‑booking portal for the IBSAT 2026 entrance examination is now live. The portal enables aspirants applying for the two‑year, full‑time MBA and PGPM programmes (intake 2027‑29) across all nine IBS campuses to select their preferred test dates and one of two daily time slots, thereby offering greater flexibility.
Exam Schedule and Slot Booking
The IBSAT 2026 will be conducted online, remote‑proctored, with a syllabus comparable to CAT and other national management entrance exams. It consists of 140 questions covering Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, and Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation, to be completed in two hours. The exam will be offered on eight distinct dates spread over four consecutive weekends in December 2026: 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27 December. Candidates may choose between a morning slot at 11:00 am and an afternoon slot at 3:00 pm. Because seat availability for each date and slot is limited, early booking is encouraged.
How to book:
1. Visit the official portal at ibsat.org and log in.
2. Click the Schedule IBSAT option in the left navigation menu.
3. Select the book slot link.
4. Log in using the Application Number and Password sent via email from ibsat@ibsindia.org.
5. Choose the preferred test date and time slot.
Results and Selection Process
Under the new structure, exam results and scholarship allocations will be released weekly on 7 December, 14 December, 21 December and 28 December, immediately after each test weekend. This rolling announcement provides candidates with prompt outcome clarity and sufficient lead time to arrange travel and logistics for the centralized selection process scheduled for February 2027 in Hyderabad. Specific dates for the selection will be communicated directly to candidates.
Mock Tests and Rewards
IBS will conduct free national mock tests on the portal. Two mock‑test windows remain open: 21 November and 9 December 2026. Over 5,000 aspirants have participated in previous sessions. The top 100 rankers will receive cash prizes: 1st ₹2,00,000; 2nd ₹1,00,000; 3rd ₹50,000; and ranks 4‑100 ₹5,000 each.
Selection Briefings and Alternate Entrance Scores
In January 2027, IBS will host selection briefings across major Indian cities; dates and venues will be shared directly with candidates. Applicants who intend to submit CAT, XAT, NMAT by GMAC™ or GMAT™ scores are advised to apply early, enabling them to complete profile registration and receive invitations to local briefings ahead of official scorecard releases. Throughout the application cycle, designated IBS Information Officers will assist applicants and conduct mock interview rounds.
