Overview

ICFAI Business School (IBS) announced the opening of registrations for its national entrance examination IBSAT 2026 on July 1, 2026. The exam will serve admission to the two‑year full‑time MBA programmes at its four MBA campuses (Bengaluru, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Jaipur) and the PGPM programmes at its five PGPM campuses (Ahmedabad, Gurugram, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune).

Registration and Exam Details

Applicants can submit a single online application at a fee of INR 1,800. IBSAT 2026 will be conducted as a 2‑hour online, home‑proctored test comprising 140 multiple‑choice questions distributed as 50 Verbal Ability, 30 Reading Comprehension, 30 Quantitative Aptitude and 30 Data Adequacy & Interpretation items. The test has no negative marking and no sectional time limits, allowing candidates to navigate freely between sections. The exam is scheduled for December 2026, after which shortlisted candidates will attend a centralized selection process at IBS Hyderabad in February 2027 that includes a micro‑presentation and personal interview.

Scholarship Programme

IBS introduced a scholarship programme valued at ₹10 crore, consisting of 500 scholarships of Rs 2 lakh each. Scholarships are awarded to top scorers in IBSAT 2026, high achievers in CAT, XAT, GMAT™ and NMAT by GMAC™, as well as to wards of IBS alumni, wards of defence personnel (Army, Air Force, Navy, Paramilitary) and physically challenged candidates.

Academic and Institutional Highlights

The institution follows a 100 % case‑based learning model. The AACSB‑accredited IBS Hyderabad campus hosts an in‑house Case Research Center ranked third globally in The Case Centre’s Case Impact Index 2025. All programmes include a mandatory 14‑week summer internship and provide certificate access to Bloomberg and SAP labs. Gender diversity across campuses is maintained at 50 %.

Placement Performance

For the Class of 2026, placement rates exceeded 90 % across all nine campuses. The highest cost‑to‑company (CTC) offered was Rs 40 lakh per annum. At the Hyderabad campus, the CTC for the top 10 % of students was INR 15.58 lakh per annum and INR 13.36 lakh per annum for the top 25 %.
