ICMR Transfers Three Indigenous Medical Technologies to Industry

ICMR transferred three indigenous medical diagnostic technologies to private companies through licensing agreements at National Technology Day 2026.
The technologies include a prostate biopsy guidance ELISA, coagulation disorder POC diagnostic, and multiplex RT-PCR for dengue/chikungunya/zika detection.
ICMR exhibited six high-impact indigenous technologies including Covaxin and CRISPR-based TB detection system at the national technology exhibition.
The event featured 25 ICMR innovations in a compendium and involved 14 scientific ministries showcasing India's technological advancements.
