2. Real-Time Electricity Market (RTM):
- Volume: 5,565 MUs.
- Average Market Clearing Price: ₹4.41 per unit, a 30.4% increase YoY.
3. Term-Ahead Market (TAM):
- This segment, which includes Day Ahead Contingency, daily, weekly, and monthly contracts up to 3 months, traded 1,765 MUs in August 2026.
- This represents a 111.3% YoY increase from 835 MUs in August 2025.
4. Green Market:
- The Green Market, comprising Green Day-Ahead and Green Term-Ahead segments, achieved a volume of 1,091 MUs in August 2026, a 17.3% YoY increase from 930 MUs.
- The weighted average price in the Green Day-Ahead Market (G-DAM) was ₹3.92 per unit, a 5.1% increase YoY.
5. Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) Market:
- A total of 2.91 lakh RECs were traded in August 2026, an 86.6% decline YoY attributed to lower participation.
