Programme Announcement

iHUB DivyaSampark, a Section 8 technology‑innovation hub established under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber‑Physical Systems (NM‑ICPS) of the Department of Science & Technology, has launched the Executive Certificate in Digital Transformation for Leaders with AI (DTAI). The five‑month programme is scheduled to commence on 22 December 2026 and is delivered 100% live online, with approximately 8–10 hours of instruction per week, excluding break weeks.

Programme Structure and Curriculum

The DTAI programme comprises 20 modules organised into seven pillars: digital transformation foundations, intelligent systems, enterprise operating models, functional applications, leadership and investment, industry‑specific learning, and an executive capstone. Core topics include AI governance, GenAI, Agentic AI (covering AI agents’ reasoning, memory, planning, multi‑agent collaboration, and autonomous execution risks), enterprise large language models (LLMs), retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), hallucination management, and AI reliability. Participants also study AI‑ready operating models, centralised versus federated structures, human‑in‑the‑loop workflows, change readiness, AI business case development, ROI assessment, vendor evaluation, procurement considerations, and cross‑functional AI applications across marketing, finance, risk, operations, supply chain and workforce management.

Industry Tracks and Practical Application

Learners may select one of two industry tracks: (i) AI in Traditional Sectors – covering BFSI, healthcare, government, infrastructure and energy; or (ii) AI in Technology and Digital Business – covering technology, IT services, e‑commerce, media, direct‑to‑consumer businesses and global capability centres. Throughout the programme, participants conduct an AI readiness assessment, redesign business models and human‑AI workflows, and develop a transformation plan. The executive capstone requires a comprehensive enterprise AI transformation strategy, including a prioritised roadmap, operating‑model blueprint, governance framework, implementation approach and an executive presentation.

Delivery Format and Assessment

The learning journey includes two live online sessions each week, amounting to roughly 10 hours of masterclass instruction delivered by faculty from IITs and other premier institutions. An optional campus immersion at IIT Roorkee’s Noida campus is available only to participants who successfully complete the programme. Certification is awarded to those who achieve a minimum overall score of 50%, score at least 50% in the capstone, and maintain at least 50% attendance.

Eligibility and Fees

The programme targets business and functional leaders, digital transformation professionals, consultants, strategy specialists, and innovation, product and technology leaders responsible for organisational change. Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher; diploma holders with a minimum of three years’ work experience are also eligible. The programme fee is ₹1,30,000 plus GST, with flexible payment options.

Market Context

Gartner research indicates that 83% of CEOs consider AI the technology most likely to affect their industries over the next three years, while only 26% of executives rate their C‑suite peers as confident and proficient in AI. Additionally, PwC’s 2026 Digital Trends in Operations Survey found that 89% of operations and supply‑chain leaders at U.S. companies reported that their technology investments had not fully delivered expected results, underscoring the need for leadership‑focused AI education.
