Programme Overview
IIM Bangalore, through its digital learning arm IIMBx, announced the launch of the General Management Programme for Emerging Leaders (ELP), an eight‑month blended programme that will commence on 30 September 2026. The inaugural cohort will begin on that date in Bengaluru.
Eligibility and Curriculum
The ELP is designed for graduates who have secured at least 50 % marks in any discipline and possess five to eight years of professional experience. The curriculum is organised around five thematic pillars—Leadership, Financial Acumen, Value through Customers, Strategic Thinking and Innovation, and Data‑Driven Decision Making—and comprises ten faculty‑led courses covering people management, leadership communication, finance and accounting, marketing, strategy, innovation, decision sciences, and AI and digital strategy. Core IIM Bangalore faculty, the same professors who teach the institute’s flagship MBA, deliver the courses.
Learning Format
The programme blends live online sessions with three on‑campus immersion modules at IIM Bangalore. It also incorporates a live business simulation called “The Arena” and a faculty‑guided Action Learning Project in which participants apply each thematic area to a real‑world problem within their own organisation.
Certification and Leadership
Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive a certificate issued by IIMBx and will be granted Affiliate Alumni Status by IIM Bangalore. Prof. Shainesh G, Programme Director at IIM Bangalore, stated that the hardest part of becoming a manager is delivering results through people and teams, and that the programme’s rigorous approach builds the necessary business acumen and leadership skills.
