IIM Udaipur 15th Foundation Day Celebration

On July 28, 2026, the Indian Institute of Management Udaipur (IIM Udaipur) commemorated its 15th Foundation Day with a grand on‑campus ceremony in Udaipur, India. The event brought together distinguished academicians, industry leaders, alumni, faculty, staff and students.

The Guest of Honour and keynote speaker was Prof. Somak Raychaudhury, Vice‑Chancellor of Ashoka University, who delivered a address on scientific inquiry, interdisciplinary learning and the role of higher education in nation‑building.

Key institutional highlights presented during the celebration included:

  • IIM Udaipur, founded on July 27, 2011, is the youngest Indian Institute of Management to receive AACSB accreditation.
  • The institute has featured in the QS World University Rankings and the Financial Times Masters in Management Global Rankings for seven consecutive years, underscoring its growing international reputation.
  • Director Prof. Ashok Banerjee outlined the institute’s vision for the future, emphasizing excellence in teaching, impactful research, international collaborations, digital innovation and stronger industry and societal engagement.
  • Dean Prof. Vijayta Doshi reiterated the commitment to transformative management education and socially responsible, globally competent leaders.
  • Mr. Pranay Chulet, Founder & CEO of Quikr and Board of Governors member, shared insights on entrepreneurship, innovation and the evolving business landscape.

Awards and Recognitions

  • Faculty and staff members who completed ten years of service – Prof. Arundhati Bhattacharyya, Dr. Arvind Sharma and Mr. Maredla Uday Bhaskar – were felicitated for their long‑standing contributions.
  • The Research Paper Publication Award was presented to Mr. Pramod Kumar in recognition of scholarly excellence.
  • The IIM Udaipur Alumni Council announced the Professor of the Year Award, presented to Prof. Rajesh Agrawal for the third consecutive year, reflecting alumni appreciation for his teaching impact.
  • Alumni Council member Mr. Kshitij Prabhu, Partner at Cura Capital, addressed the gathering and reaffirmed the council’s commitment to alumni engagement and mentorship.
  • The Shri Raghuvir Kothi Memorial Scholarship, instituted to support children of IIM Udaipur staff, was continued for the second year and awarded to Ms. Aanvi Sharma, daughter of Shri Sachin Sharma.

The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. Anirban Adhikary, Dean – Faculty and Research.
