Programme Overview
The Continuing Education Programme (CEP) of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), in collaboration with the Department of Management Studies, has opened admissions for the inaugural batch of its Advanced Data Analytics in Management programme. The six‑month online programme comprises more than 100 hours of instruction and is aimed at working professionals, managers, fresh graduates and entrepreneurs seeking a stronger grounding in business analytics.
Curriculum and Learning Architecture
The curriculum integrates predictive and prescriptive analytics, generative AI, big data and functional analytics to enable data‑led management decision‑making. It is structured into eight learning modules: Introduction to Data Analytics; Descriptive and Exploratory Analytics; Predictive Analytics and Statistical Modelling; Prescriptive Analytics and Decision Science; Advanced Analytics and AI in Business; Functional Analytics; Data Platforms, Big Data and Cloud Analytics; and a Capstone Project and Business Decision Lab. Learners will build regression, classification and clustering models, formulate optimisation problems, conduct risk‑analysis simulations and apply multi‑criteria decision‑making frameworks. The programme also incorporates Generative AI tools such as large language models, ChatGPT, prompt engineering and AI‑enabled workflow automation, with applications in customer segmentation, lifetime value, fraud detection, workforce attrition, demand forecasting and supply‑chain analytics.
Assessment and Certification
Assessment comprises mid‑programme and end‑programme examinations, assignments, module quizzes, the capstone project and attendance tracking. A minimum overall score of 40 % is required for successful completion. Participants who meet the criteria receive an e‑Certificate issued by CEP, IIT Delhi.
Admission Details
The last date to apply is 9 October 2026. The programme is delivered through live Direct‑to‑Device classes supported by asynchronous learning, self‑study, quizzes and capstone work.

Institutional Background
IIT Delhi, one of the 23 Indian Institutes of Technology, was established in 1961 and declared an Institution of National Importance in 1963. It is ranked fourth overall, second in engineering and third in research in the NIRF 2025 rankings. The Department of Management Studies is ranked fourth among Indian management institutions. CEP is the statutory body of IIT Delhi for offering online certificate programmes and issuing certificates, operating under the eVIDYA@IITD platform to provide virtual and interactive learning for national and international participants.
