Programme Overview

The iHUB DivyaSampark Technology Innovation Hub at IIT Roorkee, a Section 8 company established under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber‑Physical Systems (NM‑ICPS) of the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, is launching the Executive Certificate in Digital Transformation for Leaders with AI (DTAI). The programme runs for five months, requiring approximately 8–10 hours per week (excluding break weeks) and commences on 22 December 2026.

Rationale and Market Context

Gartner research indicates that 83% of CEOs consider AI the technology most likely to affect their industries over the next three years, yet only 26% of senior executives rate their C‑suite peers as confident and proficient in AI. Additionally, PwC’s 2026 Digital Trends in Operations Survey found that 89% of operations and supply‑chain leaders at U.S. companies reported their technology investments had not fully delivered expected results. These data points highlight a leadership gap that the DTAI programme aims to address.

Curriculum Structure

The curriculum is organized into seven pillars and 20 modules covering:

  • Digital transformation foundations
  • Intelligent systems and Agentic AI governance, including AI agents’ reasoning, memory, planning, multi‑agent collaboration, and autonomous execution risks
  • Enterprise operating models, centralised versus federated AI structures, human‑AI workflows, and change readiness
  • Functional applications across marketing, finance, risk, operations, supply chains, and workforce management
  • Leadership, investment, and value realisation, focusing on AI business cases, ROI assessment, vendor evaluation, procurement, and cost‑benefit analysis
  • Industry‑specific learning with two tracks – “AI in Traditional Sectors” (BFSI, healthcare, government, infrastructure, energy) and “AI in Technology and Digital Business” (technology, IT services, e‑commerce, media, DTC businesses, global capability centres)
  • An executive capstone that requires participants to develop an enterprise AI transformation strategy, including a prioritised roadmap, operating‑model blueprint, governance considerations, implementation approach, and an executive presentation.

Delivery Mode and Faculty

The programme delivers two live online sessions each week, supplemented by approximately 10 hours of live online masterclasses taught by faculty members from IITs and other premier institutions. Hands‑on exercises and the capstone are integrated throughout the learning journey. An optional campus immersion at IIT Roorkee’s Noida campus is available only to participants who successfully complete the programme.

Eligibility and Certification Criteria

The programme targets business and functional leaders, digital transformation professionals, consultants, strategy specialists, and innovation, product and technology leaders responsible for organisational change. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher; diploma holders with at least three years of work experience are also eligible. Participants who complete all graded assignments with a minimum overall score of 50%, achieve at least 50% in the capstone, and maintain at least 50% attendance receive the Executive Certificate (Certificate of Completion).

Fees and Payment Options

The programme fee is ₹1,30,000 plus GST, with flexible payment options offered to candidates.
