Announcement
iKure Techsoft Private Limited announced that it has closed a USD 1.8 million Pre‑Series A financing round. The round was led by four independent investors – Philips Foundation, World Diabetes Foundation, Bayer Foundation (invested through the We Share Forward platform) and Prourgn LLC of Japan – each of which made an independent decision to invest after evaluating iKure’s delivery model, technology platform and scalability.
Company Overview
iKure operates across eleven Indian states, reaching more than 7,900 villages and serving a population of over 36 million people. To date the company has recorded more than 4.5 million patient interactions. Its service network comprises over 400 trained Community Health Activists, more than 10,000 women‑led Self‑Help Groups, and a suite of primary‑care hubs, clinics, pharmacies, diagnostics centres and tele‑medicine services. All services are integrated through WHIMS, iKure’s proprietary digital health platform that maintains longitudinal patient records.
Funding Details
The USD 1.8 million proceeds will be deployed to:
- Increase the number of Community Health Activists and expand the footprint of primary‑care hubs, clinics, pharmacies and diagnostic facilities in underserved regions.
- Strengthen the WHIMS platform, including the development of AI‑enabled clinical decision‑support tools that provide early risk warnings to field workers and enhance the capacity of clinical teams to manage larger patient cohorts.
- Implement remote patient‑monitoring capabilities and further workforce‑development programmes, both of which reinforce iKure’s model of continuous, community‑based care.
The investment is earmarked for scaling existing operations rather than launching new lines of business.

Outlook
The Pre‑Series A round positions iKure to deepen its engagement with state health systems and national health planning, moving from strong regional coverage toward broader state‑level integration. While the model is designed for potential replication beyond India, the immediate focus remains on scaling the existing healthcare infrastructure across the country.
