Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Limited (IMFA) has provided an update on its greenfield ferro chrome expansion project located in Kalinganagar, referred to as KNR-1.
The company announced that the first tapping of hot metal from the first furnace in this expansion project commenced on August 25, 2026. This marks the beginning of production operations at the new facility.
With the commencement of production, the company stated that production volume will be gradually increased in due course, indicating a ramp-up phase for the new operations.
