India-Korea MoU for Thoothukudi 2.5M GT Shipyard

Tripartite MoU signed between HD KSOE, NSHIP-TN, and SMFCL for India's first mega greenfield shipyard in Thoothukudi.
The shipyard will have an annual capacity of 2.5 Million Gross Tonnage (GT) and generate 15,000 direct jobs upon stabilization.
Project is part of India's Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047 aiming for 4.5M GT annual output and top-five global shipbuilding rank.
