Indian Oil Corporation Limited has filed a regulatory disclosure with the National Stock Exchange of India Limited and BSE Limited intimating a change in its Corporate Identification Number (CIN).
The company's CIN has been changed from L23201MH1959GO1I011388 to L19201MH1959GO1011388.
This change is a consequence of the company's earlier intimation dated 1st September 2026 regarding the amendment in the object clause of its Memorandum of Association (MoA) and the adoption of a new set of Articles of Association (AoA).
The alteration is due to a reclassification under the National Industrial Classification (NIC) Code 2008. The company's principal industrial activity has been recategorized from code 23201 under the erstwhile NIC 1998 to code 19201 under NIC 2008.
The disclosure clarifies that the company's core business operations remain unchanged. Its principal industrial activity continues to be the refining, transportation, marketing, and distribution of petroleum products and other allied energy businesses.
The change in CIN was effected by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) while approving the company's MGT-14 filing.
