InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) announced board approval of William Walsh as CEO, joining by August 3, 2026 after IATA tenure ends July 31.
Walsh, currently IATA Director General, previously led British Airways (2005‑2011), IAG (2011‑2020) and Aer Lingus, bringing extensive global airline experience.
Chairman Vikram Singh Mehta and MD Rahul Bhatia expressed confidence that Walsh’s operational expertise will drive IndiGo’s next growth phase.
