Announcement
Innovecture, a U.S.-headquartered technology and engineering services firm, and Nexio, a U.S.-based payments technology company, announced the next phase of their strategic technology relationship through Innovecture’s Global Engineering Center (GEC) located in Pune, India. The partnership, which began as a technology engagement in 2024, has now evolved into a broader, integrated engineering relationship designed to support Nexio’s global technology priorities.
Expansion Details
The Pune GEC is positioned to act as an extension of Nexio’s onsite technology team, linking engineering resources in the United States and India around shared product objectives, technology priorities, and innovation initiatives. The center consolidates capabilities spanning software engineering, data, artificial intelligence, automation, quality engineering, application modernization, and IT operations, thereby creating a scalable foundation for Nexio to advance its technology agenda while increasingly adopting AI and automation across engineering functions. Through this model, Nexio will leverage Innovecture’s engineering expertise, specialized talent pool, delivery practices, technology ecosystem, and established operating capabilities to build and scale engineering capacity aligned with its global priorities.
Leadership Visit
Nexio’s senior leadership visited India to deepen strategic collaboration. Justin Brown, Chief Operating Officer of Nexio, and Wei Liu, Vice President of Engineering, engaged directly with the Pune engineering team, reinforcing alignment across geographies and underscoring a shared focus on innovation, execution, and Nexio’s global technology priorities.
Strategic Significance
The expanded relationship reflects Nexio’s evolving technology and product roadmap and provides a platform for continuous expansion of capabilities across payments technology, software engineering, AI, data, quality engineering, and modernization. Girish Rao, CEO‑India of Innovecture, emphasized that the vision extends beyond merely building engineering capacity in India; it aims to create a connected global engineering capability that delivers meaningful business value for Nexio. He noted that over the past two years a strong foundation of trust, collaboration, engineering excellence, and shared accountability has been established, and the Pune GEC represents the next evolution of that partnership. Justin Brown described the partnership as critical to Nexio’s growth and long‑term success, praising the quality of talent and capabilities Innovecture brings. Wei Liu highlighted the rapid acceleration of AI, noting that Innovecture enables Nexio to address emerging challenges, capture new opportunities, and expand AI usage beyond software development into broader technology operations.
Outlook
The expanded partnership strengthens Pune’s role as a strategic engineering hub supporting Nexio’s global technology organization and establishes a scalable foundation for deeper collaboration, expanded engineering capabilities, and accelerated innovation across Nexio’s technology landscape.
