IonQ Raises 2026 Revenue Outlook to $460M
IonQ (NYSE:IONQ) shares increased 5.8% on Tuesday, 8 September 2026, after the company announced an upward revision of its full‑year 2026 revenue guidance to a range of $450 million to $460 million. The revised outlook incorporates the contribution of SkyWater Technology, whose acquisition was completed on 31 July 2026, and covers the period from that date through 31 December 2026. The guidance also reflects the removal of estimated intercompany revenues that had been included under the prior commercial agreement between IonQ and SkyWater. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Niccolo de Masi said the updated guidance highlights both the market traction of IonQ’s quantum platform and the foundational manufacturing scale provided by SkyWater, and noted that the joint roadmap accelerates the timeline toward commercial‑scale, fault‑tolerant quantum computing. Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer Inder Singh described the release of the first combined guidance as a pivotal step that demonstrates the immediate financial and operational strength of the unified organization. The announcement was made as IonQ prepared to host its first joint Investor Day.
