Scholarship Announcement

Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE), Hyderabad, has launched a merit‑based scholarship and financial‑aid scheme for candidates seeking admission to its two‑year full‑time PGDM programmes for the 2027‑29 batch. Under the scheme, eligible students can receive scholarships of up to Rs 2 lakh, reducing the financial burden of pursuing a quality management education.

Eligibility and Amount

For candidates belonging to the General category, a CAT percentile of 80 % or higher qualifies for the maximum scholarship of Rs 2 lakh. Additional scholarship amounts are available for candidates falling in lower percentile brackets and for those belonging to OBC, SC/ST/Minority categories, as well as residents of designated regions such as the Northeastern States, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh. The institute has stipulated that there is no limit on the number of students who can receive the scholarship. IPE reports that it disburses more than Rs 2 crore in scholarships each academic year.

Programme Details

IPE offers six AICTE‑approved, NBA & SAQS‑accredited full‑time PGDM programmes: General/Core, Marketing Management, Banking & Financial Services, International Business, Human Resource Management, and Business Analytics. These programmes are recognized as equivalent to an MBA by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Government of India. The institute emphasizes a blend of academic learning, industry interface, research orientation, and professional development to prepare graduates for managerial and leadership roles across sectors.

Director’s Statement

Prof. S. Sreenivasa Murthy, Director of IPE, stated that a good CAT score reflects a student’s aptitude, discipline, and commitment, and that financial constraints should not hinder talented candidates. He urged aspirants to view their CAT performance as an opportunity to access both quality education and financial support through the scholarship initiative.

Application Timeline

The CAT 2026 application window closes on September 15, 2026. The CAT examination is scheduled for November 29, 2026. Prospective students with valid CAT scores are encouraged to apply for admission to the PGDM programmes and to explore the scholarship options.
