Admission and Fee Structure

IPE Hyderabad has announced admissions for its two‑year, full‑time PGDM programmes for the 2027‑29 batch. The total tuition fee for the programme is Rs 9 lakh, payable in instalments. To make the programme financially accessible, IPE has introduced an expanded scholarship framework that can reduce a student’s net cost by up to Rs 6 lakh.

Scholarship Framework and Allocation

Every year IPE disburses more than Rs 2.5 crore in scholarships to roughly 240 students. Scholarships are awarded on a merit‑and‑means basis and range from Rs 80,000 to Rs 6 lakh. The key components are:

  • IPE Merit and Means Scholarship: 27 scholarships of Rs 6 lakh each for candidates scoring above the 80th percentile in CAT 2026 or XAT 2027 whose family income is below Rs 8 lakh per annum.
  • Entrance‑Test Based Scholarships: Amounts between Rs 80,000 and Rs 3 lakh for high‑scoring CAT, XAT, MAT or GMAT candidates; CMAT and ATMA qualifiers receive between Rs 80,000 and Rs 1.5 lakh. Category (General, OBC, SC/ST/Minority, designated states) is also considered.
  • Special Scholarship for Girl Students: Rs 50,000 based on entrance‑test percentile.
  • Sports and Arts Scholarships: Up to Rs 4 lakh for students who have represented India in sports and up to Rs 2 lakh for those who have represented India in the arts; state‑level representatives receive Rs 2 lakh (sports) and Rs 1 lakh (arts).
  • Academic Performance Scholarships: Each academic section awards three top students (27 in total) Rs 50,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively, contingent on performance during the programme. Scholarships are paid in two instalments, with the second instalment linked to continued academic achievement.
  • External Scholarships: Institutions such as IDFC and Bank of Baroda also provide scholarships to IPE students, and education loans are available from public and private banks and NBFCs.

Selection Process and Important Dates

The admissions process, overseen by Dean Prof. (Dr.) Rama Krishna Yelamanchili, evaluates candidates holistically. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a UGC‑recognised institution with at least 50 % marks (45 % for SC/ST/PC candidates) and submit scores from CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, GMAT or TGICET. Shortlisted candidates undergo a psychometric test, essay, group discussion and personal interview. Key test dates are:

  • CAT: 29 Nov 2026
  • MAT: 20 Dec and 27 Dec 2026 (multiple sessions annually)
  • XAT: 3 Jan 2027 (last date to apply 6 Dec 2026)
  • CMAT: 7 Feb 2027
  • GMAT: year‑round availability.
