1. Cessation of Shri Pradip Kumar Das

Shri Pradip Kumar Das (DIN: 07448576) has ceased to be the Chairman & Managing Director of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited effective July 1, 2026. The cessation is due to his attainment of the age of superannuation on June 30, 2026.

2. Appointment of Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty as Additional Charge CMD

Pursuant to Ministry of New and Renewable Energy Order No. 340-11/3/2019 dated June 30, 2026, Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty (DIN: 08816532) has been entrusted with the additional charge of Chairman & Managing Director. Dr. Mohanty is the current Director (Finance) & Chief Financial Officer of IREDA.

The additional charge is effective for a period of 3 months from the date of assumption of charge (July 1, 2026) or until the appointment of a regular incumbent, or until further orders, whichever is earliest. Dr. Mohanty assumed this additional charge on July 1, 2026.

Profile of Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty

Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Master's degrees in Commerce, Philosophy, and Public Administration, a Bachelor of Law, and a Doctorate in Philosophy in Commerce.

He has over 27 years of experience in the Indian power sector, with expertise in finance, accounts, treasury, project appraisal, project execution & management, and commercial and legal functions.

Prior to his current role as Director (Finance) at IREDA (since October 12, 2023), he headed the Smart Metering Division at REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) and served as Senior General Manager (Finance & Accounts) at REC Limited. During his tenure at REC, he also worked as Chief Programme Manager for Tripura, Nagaland, Mizoram, West Bengal, and Odisha, and held the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer of FACOR Power Limited. His earlier career includes roles at Central Electricity Supply Company of Odisha Limited (CESCO) and Grid Corporation of Odisha Limited (GRIDCO).

Dr. Mohanty also serves as a Director on the Board of IREDA Global Green Energy Finance IFSC Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of IREDA.
