ITI Limited has received a work order from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for expansion of 4G Mobile Network in West India under Phase IX. The total value of the order is ₹856.39 crore.

The scope of work includes Planning, Engineering, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 4G Mobile Network on a turnkey basis for 7613 sites in the West Zone. The project specifically covers supply, installation and commissioning of 7613 sites, including saturation sites (DBN funded).

This order is part of India's Atmanirbhar telecom initiative, where BSNL is implementing indigenous 4G telecom equipment to achieve self-reliance in the telecom segment and fulfil domestic market needs.

ITI Limited had previously executed a similar turnkey project worth ₹2640 crores for provisioning 4G mobile network under Phase IX.2 for BSNL West Zone states, which included Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Mumbai LSA. That project involved RF planning, engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, integration and annual maintenance of the 4G mobile network at 23633 sites in the West Zone.

The company is currently executing Bharatnet Phase III projects worth ₹7000 crore for BSNL in Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Andaman & Nicobar, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur states.
