Ltd. has developed a fully compatible Indian replacement for a critical avionics component that senses aircraft pitch attitude and provides correction data to gyromagnetic compass navigation systems. The component is used across multiple military aircraft and helicopter platforms currently in active service.
The development was undertaken due to irregular and limited supply of the original foreign-origin Pitch Detector from its overseas manufacturer, which created operational challenges for dependent platforms.
Technical and Manufacturing Specifications
The component was developed through a complete indigenization program without access to the original design documentation. The company redesigned the electronics using modern technology and manufactured a fully compatible replacement in India at its DSIR-recognized advanced semiconductor packaging facility in Bangalore.
The Pitch Detector successfully qualified to military reliability standard MIL-PRF-38534, demonstrating military-grade manufacturing capabilities.
