J'Yani Fabrics Receives VCF-SC Funding for Expansion

J'Yani Fabrics Pvt. Ltd., an export-oriented terry towel manufacturing unit based in Sangli, Maharashtra and led by Mr. Aditya Jede, received financial assistance of ₹2.39 crore in 2017 from the Venture Capital Fund for Scheduled Castes (VCF-SC) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. The funding was provided through a combination of Venture Capital (Equity) and Optionally Convertible Debentures.

The financial support enabled the company to expand its existing business operations, enhance production capacity, improve overall operational efficiency, and strengthen its manufacturing capabilities to meet international quality standards. The project focused on value addition and export-oriented production, helping establish the company as a competitive player in the textile sector with a reliable customer base and regular income generation.

Significantly, the intervention generated both direct and indirect employment opportunities for local people while improving market access, business stability, and long-term growth prospects. The company has established itself as a financially stronger and sustainable enterprise with enhanced manufacturing capabilities and a steadily growing customer base. Mr. Jede stated that the concessional finance under VCF-SC made the business sustainable and financially stronger, ensuring long-term growth and stability.

This case demonstrates how the VCF-SC program enables Scheduled Caste entrepreneurs to establish sustainable manufacturing enterprises that generate employment, strengthen India's export capabilities, and contribute to inclusive economic development through targeted financial support.
