Jagmag Lights Private Limited, a decorative lighting manufacturer based in Greater Noida, supplied custom lanterns, pendant lights and tiered chandeliers for the Golden Dragon restaurant’s North Indian debut at the Taj Surajkund Resort & Spa in Delhi NCR. Golden Dragon, originally opened in 1973 at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai and serving Cantonese and Sichuan cuisine, required lighting that respected its five‑decade heritage while avoiding over‑decoration; the design theme incorporated gold and green accents, plum‑blossom motifs and Guohua‑style artwork. Jagmag’s fixtures—hexagonal lanterns with fine floral patterns and red tassels, an alabaster pendant over a round private‑room table, and cream‑shaded chandeliers with glass drops—were engineered to be Chinese in spirit, contemporary in line, and durable for daily lunch and dinner service across varied settings such as banquette seating, a vaulted hall and private rooms. The company’s production process captures a design reference, locks the scale, finalises design, finish and structure before fabrication, and completes quality checks and packing at its own factory; once the design is locked, most custom pieces are ready within 15 to 20 working days. Materials used include natural‑veined alabaster, brass‑toned wall lights and crystal glass drops, with the aim of providing generous illumination without overpowering the artwork. Co‑founder and Managing Director Chirag Chaudhary emphasized that the lights are designed, fabricated and finished in‑house, allowing Jagmag to stand behind the work for years and to ensure an Indian‑made solution for a Taj venue. Co‑founder Upasana Singh added that the lighting is intended to be subtle, letting the ambience speak rather than the brightness. Jagmag commits to retaining spare parts for at least ten years, mitigating future replacement issues in luxury hospitality settings. Since its founding in 2015 by Chaudhary and Singh, Jagmag Lights, a DPIIT‑recognised startup, has supplied decorative lighting to hotels, restaurants, banquet halls, places of worship and residences across India and abroad, including the Hyatt Regency in Addis Ababa. The press release, issued on 26 October 2026, includes the company website jagmaglights.com and carries a disclaimer that the release is provided under an arrangement with NRDPL, with PTI taking no editorial responsibility.
