Announcement

Jagmag Lights Private Limited, a Greater Noida‑based decorative lighting manufacturer, announced that it has supplied a complete range of custom lighting fixtures – lanterns, pendant lights and chandeliers – for the North‑India debut of the Golden Dragon restaurant at the Taj Surajkund Resort & Spa in Delhi NCR.

Project Details

Golden Dragon, originally opened in 1973 at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai and serving Cantonese and Sichuan cuisine, required a lighting solution that respects its five‑decade heritage while fitting a new, quieter interior design. The restaurant’s new space includes a deep‑green banquette with two hexagonal lanterns on red cords, a private dining room featuring an alabaster pendant on dark chains over a round table, and a main hall with tiered chandeliers beneath a gold‑toned vaulted ceiling. Design motifs incorporate plum‑blossom painted walls and Guohua‑style artwork.

Design & Materials

Jagmag Lights employed a palette of materials to achieve the desired ambience: alabaster panels that transmit light through natural veining, brass‑toned wall lights that echo the room’s gold accents, and small glass drops on the chandelier shades that capture ceiling light. The hexagonal lanterns display fine floral patterns with red tassels, while the chandeliers feature patterned cream shades. All fixtures were crafted to be visually Chinese in spirit yet contemporary in line, ensuring they complement the artwork without overpowering it.

Production Process & Timeline

The company follows a fixed‑sequence custom‑lighting process: a design reference is captured, the scale is locked, and the design, finish and structure are settled before fabrication begins. Quality checks and packing are completed at Jagmag’s own factory in Greater Noida. According to the release, most custom pieces are ready within 15 to 20 working days once the design is locked, allowing rapid delivery for the restaurant’s opening.

Service & Warranty

Jagmag Lights highlighted its long‑term service commitment, stating that it manufactures all parts in‑house and will retain spare components for at least ten years, mitigating future replacement issues for luxury‑hospitality clients.
