Appointment of Mahesh Ramakrishnan as CTO
JK Tech, a specialist AI and data solutions provider, announced on 12 October 2026 from Bengaluru and Noida that Mahesh Ramakrishnan has been appointed Chief Technology Officer. The appointment is presented as a step to build a future‑ready technology organization and to accelerate innovation as enterprises shift from digital and AI experimentation to scaled, business‑led transformation.
Mahesh Ramakrishnan brings 26 years of experience in software, product engineering, technology strategy and emerging technologies. He founded Tataatsu Idealabs and led it for more than 13 years, creating natural‑language‑processing products CollabLayer and Seer before large‑language models became mainstream. He previously served as Global Head of Sell‑Side Research Products at Thomson Reuters and, at Capco, as Principal Consultant heading the Compose product business through its sale to Thomson Reuters.
At JK Tech, Ramakrishnan will lead the transition of the JIVA platform from retrieval to reasoning, enabling agents that operate across an enterprise’s structured and unstructured knowledge to solve multi‑step business problems. As CTO, he will develop and execute the company’s technology vision for its next growth phase, with a central focus on integrating and scaling JK Tech’s three flagship platforms—JIVA, Ontologos and Orbiee—into a single, connected technology fabric. His mandate includes strengthening technology foundations, advancing platforms and solutions, fostering engineering excellence and building differentiated capabilities that address evolving enterprise needs.
Under his leadership, JIVA’s generative‑AI orchestration, Ontologos’ semantic and ontology‑driven intelligence and the engineering capabilities of Orbiee are expected to converge into a unified, hyper‑personalized ecosystem that delivers outcome‑driven experiences for clients.
CEO Sameer Nagpal said technology is central to JK Tech’s ambition and that Ramakrishnan’s product mindset and breadth of perspective will help strengthen foundations, accelerate capabilities and translate the vision into solutions that create meaningful business impact.
Ramakrishnan added that JK Tech will build on its strong technology and domain capabilities to create a clear, cohesive technology vision that delivers measurable ROI. He highlighted that most enterprises already hold answers across databases, documents, mail and legacy code, and that JK Tech aims to shorten the path to insight by using JIVA’s knowledge‑graph‑based agents, domain‑specific workflows and small language models that run inside a client’s environment, keeping data on‑premise and reducing answer costs. He also noted the ability to read legacy enterprise code and recover buried business rules.
As part of the broader vision, JK Tech will embed AI into everyday operations across every department, positioning itself as an AI‑first organization.
