Award Announcement

JK Tyre & Industries Ltd., a leading tyre manufacturer, was conferred the Mahatma Award for Community Initiatives 2026, marking its fourth consecutive receipt of this honour. The award was presented to Vice President B. S. Dagar during a ceremony attended by Dr. Santrupt Mishra, Rajya Sabha member, Santosh Kumar Jha, CMD of Konkan Railways, and Shri Amit Sachdeva, CSR Man of India.

CSR Impact

Under the “Sarthi” umbrella, JK Tyre’s CSR programmes cover livelihood, education, healthcare, water conservation and rural development. In FY2025‑26 the initiatives reached over 1.3 lakh individuals, bringing the cumulative reach to more than 1.5 million lives. The specific programmes are:

  • Shiksha Sarthi (education)
  • Arogya Sarthi (healthcare)
  • Ajivika Sarthi (livelihood and skill development)
  • Jal‑Vayu Sarthi (water conservation and environment)
  • Vikas Sarthi (rural development)

The Mahatma Award, instituted in 2021 by the Mahatma Foundation in collaboration with the Aditya Birla Group and Liveweek Group, recognises organisations and leaders that drive social impact inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s values.
