JSW Kolkata Outer Harbour Container Terminal Private Limited (JSWCTPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of JSW Infrastructure Limited, entered into a Concession Agreement with Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority, Kolkata on 12th August, 2026 at approximately 3:30 PM.
The agreement covers Integrated Development of Outer Container Terminal & Berth no. 1 through 5 at Netaji Subhash Dock, Kolkata Dock System.
The project is executed on Design Build Finance Operate Transfer (DBFOT) basis through Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
Project Context and Capacity
This agreement follows the receipt of Letter of Award (LOA) on 9th June, 2026 and incorporation of JSWCTPL on 10th July, 2026 specifically for this project.
Combined with the previous Concession Agreement entered into on 15th September, 2025 for reconstruction of Berth No. 8 and mechanization of Berth Nos. 7 and 8 at the same facility, the aggregate capacity under both concessions will be approximately 1.4 Million TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) per annum.
