Kappa Chakka Kandhari, an award‑winning Kerala‑speciality restaurant operating in Chennai and Bengaluru, announced that it will celebrate the Onam harvest festival by offering a traditional Onasadhya banquet on 25 and 26 August 2026.

Dine‑in Onasadhya

The restaurant will serve a 25‑dish vegetarian thali for lunch only on both days at its Chennai outlet (No.10 Haddows Road, Nungambakkam, Chennai‑600006, phone +91 98585 91010) and Bengaluru outlet (6th Block, Koramangala, Bangalore‑560095, phone +91 63646 71010). The price is ₹1,980 per adult and ₹1,180 per child, inclusive of taxes. The menu includes dishes such as Cheru Pazham, Nendrakai Nuruku, Sarkara Varattiyathu, Pavakka Kondattam, Payaru Kondattam, pickles (Manga Achar, Naranga Achar, Nellika Achar, Inji Puli), Beetroot Kichadi, Pineapple Pachadi, Olan, Cabbage Thoran, Avial, Koottu Kari, Nei‑Parippu with Matta Red Rice, Sambar, Kalan, Pappadam, Rasam, and desserts like Palada Payasam, Ada Pradhaman, Payaru Payasam and Chakka Pradhaman. Onasadhya Box (Take‑away)

A take‑away Onasadhya Box containing the same 25‑dish menu, designed to serve 5‑6 persons, will be priced at ₹8,000 inclusive of taxes. The boxes can be pre‑booked for pickup on 25‑26 August 2026, with a pick‑up window from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm.

Onam Special Payasams (Take‑away)

Two varieties of traditional Onam Payasams – Palada Payasam from Thrissur and Ada Pradhaman – will be sold in ½‑litre bottles for ₹490 and 1‑litre bottles for ₹980, taxes included. These are also available for advance booking for pickup on the same two days during the same 10:30 am‑12:00 pm window.
