Karman Space & Defense (NYSE:KRMN) announced that its Space & Defense unit will acquire Walker Precision Engineering, a UK‑based manufacturer, for approximately $94 million. The announcement was made at the Farnborough Airshow.
Target Company Details
Walker Precision Engineering, founded in 1979 and headquartered in Glasgow, produces components for missile seekers, guidance systems and control systems used in more than 25 European Union tactical missile, air and defence programmes. Its operations include engineering, advanced materials design, precision machining, electroplating and electromechanical assemblies, with facilities located in Scotland, England and Poland.
Strategic Rationale
CEO Jon Rambeau stated that Walker’s missile‑ and aviation‑related capabilities and its relationships with the largest European space and defence prime contractors will expand Karman’s addressable market and generate cross‑selling and export opportunities across the enterprise.
Transaction Terms and Timeline
The transaction is valued at roughly $94 million and is expected to close in the third quarter of Karman’s fiscal year 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Kroll acted as the exclusive sell‑side advisor to Walker and its shareholders.
Expected Financial Impact
Karman expects the acquisition to be immediately accretive to revenue, adjusted EBITDA, adjusted earnings per share and cash flow. The deal adds to Karman’s existing network of 17 facilities across eight U.S. states, bringing the total number of sites to 34 when Walker’s locations are included.
