Karnataka Bank celebrated World Environment Day on 05.06.2026 with a plantation drive organized at the Bank's Head Office premises in Mangaluru. The event was led by the Bank's Managing Director & CEO, Shri Raghavendra S. Bhat along with senior management officials, who planted saplings as part of the initiative promoting environmental conservation and sustainability.
Management Commentary
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Raghavendra S. Bhat emphasized the importance of protecting nature and adopting environmentally responsible practices in daily life. He stated that every individual has a role to play in preserving the environment for future generations. He encouraged people to reduce the usage of vehicles wherever possible, adopt car pooling practices, and gradually shift towards electric vehicles to reduce carbon emissions and pollution.
He further noted that small and conscious efforts by individuals and institutions can collectively create a significant positive impact on the environment. He also urged employees and customers to actively participate in green initiatives and contribute towards building a cleaner and healthier planet.
