Services and Facilities
Maa Kauvery provides round‑the‑clock maternity care, covering normal and high‑risk pregnancies, with dedicated birthing suites and comprehensive antenatal, delivery, and post‑natal services. Advanced laparoscopic gynaecologic surgery and fetal medicine services are available, enabling care across all stages of the maternal journey.
The hospital’s fertility programme includes assisted reproductive technologies such as Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) and In‑Vitro Fertilisation (IVF).
For newborns, the facility houses a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) capable of treating critically ill infants, including those born before 30 weeks gestation or weighing less than 1.5 kg, with 24/7 specialist access, respiratory support and advanced life‑support equipment.
Paediatric care is delivered through a Level 3 Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and a 24/7 paediatric emergency service. Sub‑specialities include paediatric pulmonology, nephrology, haematology, intensive care, and neonatology.
Women’s health services extend beyond maternity to cover menstrual health, PMOS, menopause, gynaecologic oncology, breast health (including mammography), and a counselling clinic offering personalised preventive advice.
Strategic Context
Dr D. Senguttuvan noted that since 2024 the group has been operating a 200‑bed Maa Kauvery in Trichy, refining an integrated model of care for women and children. The Chennai launch replicates this model, aiming to set new standards in paediatric and obstetric care for the region.
