The hospital organized a Basic Life Support and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) awareness and training program at Tirunelveli Railway Station for Southern Railway staff, with support from the station administration.
Over 100 railway staff members and members of the public attended; training was led by a senior emergency medicine doctor who demonstrated AED usage and BLS techniques.
Dr. Lakshmanan, Medical Administrator of Kauvery Hospital, emphasized emergency preparedness; Railway Chief Medical Officer Dr. Raja Gobalan, the Station Master and Station Manager also attended and supported the event.
Kauvery Hospital had previously donated AED devices to Southern Railway to strengthen emergency response capabilities at the station.
