The hospital organized a Basic Life Support and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) awareness and training program for Southern Railway staff at Tirunelveli Railway Station, with support from the station administration.
More than 100 railway staff members and members of the public participated, receiving practical demonstrations on AED usage and BLS techniques.
The session was led by Senior Doctor, Emergency Medicine, Dr. Lakshmanan, Medical Administrator of Kauvery Hospital, Tirunelveli, and was attended by Railway Chief Medical Officer Dr. Raja Gobalan, the Railway Station Master and Station Manager.
Kauvery Hospital had previously donated AED devices to Southern Railway to strengthen emergency response preparedness at the station.
