Press Release – KICK Joins Team Apex Gaming as Official Livestream Sponsor (26 Sep 2026)
On Saturday, 26 September 2026, global livestreaming platform KICK announced that it has become the official sponsor for the live‑streaming category of Indian esports organisation Team Apex Gaming (TAG). The partnership is presented as a strategic move to deepen KICK’s footprint in India, which is described as one of the world’s largest and youngest gaming markets.
Team Apex Gaming, launched publicly in April 2026 under the campaign “It’s Time to Rise” and the hashtag #TAGonTOP, was founded by professional BGMI player and gaming creator Jonathan Jude Amaral (known as Jonathan Gaming) together with co‑founder Madhur Agrawal. Since its inception, TAG has built a competitive roster that competes at the highest level of Indian esports and a creator network that includes some of the country’s biggest gaming voices. The current competitive lineup features Jonathan, Jelly, Hydro, KioLmao and Harsh, while the creator network comprises Lolzzz, SharkShe, Sheek, Raka Zone Gaming, Shreeman Legend and SSR Vlogs.
In a statement, Madhur Agrawal said, “We’ve always approached partnerships from an industry‑first lens. We were looking for a partner genuinely endemic to what a gamer is – someone who understands that the future of this space is as much about watching and participating as it is about competing. KICK gets that.” Jonathan Gaming added, “India is watching gaming like never before, and KICK understands the culture – the importance of giving creators and players a platform to connect with their communities. This partnership is about making livestream viewing a part of everyday entertainment for millions of fans, and that push is only going to get stronger from here.”
KICK, launched in 2022, focuses on gaming, esports, IRL entertainment and streamers. Through its KICK Partner Program (KPP), the platform has facilitated more than US$400 million in payouts to creators, offering a 100 % revenue‑share model and a 95/5 split on subscription revenue, both designed to maximise earnings for streamers.
The tie‑up marks an early and significant commercial milestone for TAG, representing its first major sponsorship deal since its launch and positioning both organisations to drive the growth of livestream viewing as a mainstream entertainment format in India.
