KRAFTON India Expands Tour to 256 Colleges
KRAFTON India issued a press release on 12 October 2026 announcing the launch of the 2026–27 KRAFTON India Esports College Campus Tour. The tour officially kicked off on 10 October 2026 at IIT Kharagpur and IIT Varanasi and will run through March 2027.
The expanded edition will cover 256 colleges across India, exactly twice the number reached in the 2025–26 edition, which visited 128 colleges and engaged more than 75,000 students. The tour is organised into four geographic zones – North, South, East and West – with 64 colleges participating in each zone.
Competitive events will feature the flagship titles BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI) and Real Cricket. These tournaments are being run in partnership with Nodwin Gaming and Upthrust Esports, and are aligned with existing college festivals to facilitate student participation. KRAFTON India will fund the prize pool, while event logistics will be managed by the respective college festival committees with support from the tournament organisers.
The competition structure allows participating teams to progress from intra‑college matches to zonal rounds, then to a Grand Finals stage. The top sixteen teams emerging from the Grand Finals will contest the College Campus Championship. The champion of this championship will receive a direct invitation to the invited stage of KRAFTON India’s official tournaments scheduled for 2027.
Associate Director – Esports Karan Pathak commented, “Last year, we saw how much interest there is among college students for competitive gaming, with the Campus Tour reaching 128 colleges and engaging over 75,000 students. This year, we are taking that a step further by reaching 256 colleges across the country… With BGMI and Real Cricket, we are looking forward to another exciting season across campuses in India.”
