KRAFTON India Announces BGMI 4.6 Update
On September 16, 2026, from Bengaluru, KRAFTON India rolled out the BGMI 4.6 update, described as one of the most varied seasons for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The release adds three headline experiences – the supernatural Midnight Hunters mode, the fan‑requested Ocean Odyssey return, and a new India‑first character Kiaraa – together with a slate of global collaborations, festive content, creator‑focused tools, and multiple new collections.
Midnight Hunters Mode
Midnight Hunters launches on the Erangel map from September 16 to November 16. Designated Vampire Takeover points – Rozhok, Mylta, Quarry and Gatka – allow eliminated players to re‑enter as Vampires, with a maximum of 20 active Vampires at any time. Stalber and Sosnovka Military Base become the Nightkeeper’s Hunter Guild, an indoor arena featuring hidden secrets. The mode introduces Guild Missions that grant squads special objectives and higher rewards, as well as a Hunter Shooting Range, Clock Tower, and Scream Crates. New enemy types include Bloodwalkers, Nightbats, a Vampire Elder and the Nightkeeper. The Bloodline Awakening mechanic lets eliminated players return as Vampires, gaining abilities such as Claw Strike, Absorb, Blood Sense and Blood Amberfication. Themed items – Silvermoon Chain, Twilight Bat Wings, Scarlet Tonic and Blood Pact – provide combat, movement, defence, detection and teammate‑link benefits.
Ocean Odyssey Returns
Two weeks after launch, on September 30, BGMI re‑introduces Ocean Odyssey on Erangel, bringing back the Ocean Palace, the Trident, the Kraken and underwater exploration. The mode satisfies continued community demand, offering both returning players and newcomers a chance to experience the underwater kingdom.
Kiaraa – India‑First Character IP
From October 8, the original character Kiaraa appears, marking the second India‑originated IP after Anamika. Kiaraa arrives with a Diwali‑themed Indian Bazaar on Erangel, where four peacock‑shaped lamps can be activated to trigger a boss‑fight zone. The boss battle requires squads to cooperate to defeat Kiaraa and claim rewards. The accompanying Kiaraa Nakshatra Collection includes the Divine Peacock Glider, Divine Radiance SCAR‑L, Divine Chariot Buggy, Arrow Rain Emote and Divine Edge Machete. Players can also engage in Kiaraa Arena challenges, visit the Kiaraa Exchange Center and earn daily login rewards.
Diwali Prize Path
Beginning October 22, BGMI launches its first India‑built Diwali Prize Path, spanning 20 levels and concluding on November 15. Rewards across the path feature the Revel 01 Set, a Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 motorcycle, a Diwali Gold Set and a Royal Enfield Bullet 350 motorcycle.
Global Collaborations
The season continues collaborations with global entertainment and lifestyle brands:
- One Punch Man – available via a Spin and Mini Royale Pass starting September 21, offering character skins and themed sets.
- Lincoln Motor Cruize – runs from September 16 to November 9, showcasing the Lincoln Model L and Lincoln Navigator Black Label in multiple colour variants.
- B.DUCK – provides a turn‑based collision battle mode on floating platforms, concluding on September 30.
- Techno Gamerz – a major Indian creator partnership that goes live on October 20, delivering a dedicated voice experience, the Sunken Templar collection and themed weapon content.
Creator Ecosystem and WOW Enhancements
The WOW (World of War) ecosystem receives significant upgrades. The Steal Brainrot mode gets a Halloween update with 17 new collectible Brainrot characters inspired by Halloween, Mexico’s Day of the Dead, ghosts, werewolves and the Headless Horseman, plus a new progression currency. A Ghost Ship Event Mode introduces a Halloween shop and mutating Ghost Cannonballs. The Brainrot Wand transforms players into a Halloween Brainrot, while B.DUCK Pool Party adds a competitive floating‑platform experience.
For creators, the WOW Mobile Editor gains higher platform limits, new creation tools, performance improvements, tutorials and debugging features. To date, more than 50,000 maps have been created on WOW, over 35,000 are live and playable, more than 23 million players have tried the mode, and close to one million play it daily.
