Announcement

KRAFTON India announced on 23 September 2026 in Bengaluru the launch of the fourth edition of its KRAFTON India Gaming Incubator (KIGI). Applications for Cohort 4 opened on 22 September 2026.

Expanded Scope

For the first time KIGI will back games that are already in beta or soft‑launch for mobile, and titles that have a live Steam demo for PC, in addition to the early‑stage teams and ideas it has supported since 2023.

Quotes

Anuj Sahani, Head of KRAFTON India Incubator Program, said the incubator aims to back India’s most promising developers with resources and guidance, now widening support to games showing early traction or community recognition. Sean Hyunil Sohn, CEO of KRAFTON India, highlighted the strong momentum in Indian game development and positioned Cohort 4 as another step toward making India a global creative force in gaming.

Previous Cohorts

  • Cohort 1 helped studios achieve successful soft launches.
  • Cohort 2 includes Mumbai‑based Singular Scheme, whose title Frontier Paladin became the first PC game from the incubator to launch on Steam on 24 April 2026.
  • Cohort 3, announced in April 2026 from roughly 1,000 applications, admitted four studios: Xod Games Studio, EvolX Games, Ether Games and RedDevil Studio.

KIGI provides each selected studio with financial assistance ranging from US$50,000 to US$150,000, hands‑on mentorship from industry veterans across India, South Korea and other gaming hubs, and access to KRAFTON’s publishing, venture‑capital and potential equity‑investment channels.
