Overview

KRAFTON India announced the rollout of the Real Cricket 5.3 update on 21 September 2026 for both Android and iOS platforms. The update’s headline feature is One‑Over Duel, an asynchronous 1‑v‑1 player‑versus‑player mode that condenses a contest into a single six‑ball over.

One‑Over Duel Mode

In One‑Over Duel, each participant bats independently; the player who scores more runs in the over wins, with the innings ending early if two wickets fall. Challenges can be sent at any time, and the opponent receives a notification to play their turn at their convenience. Victories award experience points (XP) and exclusive milestone rewards, providing a quick competitive experience that fits into brief player downtime.

Multiplayer Season Update

A fresh competitive multiplayer season has been launched alongside the new mode, introducing a new leaderboard for players to climb as part of Real Cricket’s ongoing progression system.

Player Card UI Refresh

The player‑card interface has been redesigned with an updated look and feel, aiming to deliver a sharper and more immersive visual experience for users.

Tournament Squad Updates

Squad rosters have been refreshed across several key cricket competitions, including the International squad, USA Cricket League, West Indies Premier League, and Lanka Super League, ensuring the game reflects the current international cricket calendar.

Availability

The Real Cricket 5.3 update, encompassing the One‑Over Duel mode, multiplayer season, UI refresh, and squad updates, is live now for all players on Android and iOS.

Executive Quote

Anuj Sahani, Head of KRAFTON Incubator Program & Director, Publishing, KRAFTON India, stated: “The hardest part of competitive play on mobile has never been cricket – it’s getting two people online at the same moment. We built One‑Over Duel to be asynchronous precisely so that barrier disappears: you send a challenge, and your rival answers on their own time. That reflects how we’re thinking about Real Cricket’s next chapter under KRAFTON – lowering the bar to real, head‑to‑head competition so it fits the moments players already have, rather than asking them to schedule their day around a match.”
