Kuantum Papers Ltd is a leading agro and wood-based paper manufacturer that commenced commercial operations in 1980 in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. The company started with 30 TPD production capacity and has expanded to currently operate at 540 TPD through continuous process upgrades and backward integration projects.

Manufacturing Facilities

The company's fully integrated manufacturing facility spans 259 acres with the following capacities:

  • Pulping Facilities: Total 365 TPD (Agro Pulp - 165 TPD, Wood Pulp - 200 TPD)
  • Paper Machines: Total 540 TPD (PM 1 - 65 TPD, PM 2 - 75 TPD, PM 3 - 115 TPD, PM 4 - 285 TPD)
  • Chemical Recovery Plant: 700 TPD of Black Liquor Solids with two recovery boilers (200 TPD and 500 TPD)
  • Co-Generation Power Plant: 38 MW turbines, 190 TPH boilers
  • Effluent Treatment Plant: Upgraded to meet environmental norms, treated effluent irrigates 2050 acres

  • Agro Pulping Street (165 TPD): ~100% Wheat Straw
  • Wood Pulping Street (200 TPD): Wood Chips & Wood Logs (93%), Bamboo (7%)

The company manufactures writing and printing paper with extensive product range:

  • Maplitho papers (GSM 52-120) under brands KOSHEEN, KRESTO, KOSMO LITHO
  • Copier papers (GSM 65-80) under brands K-ONE, KOPIO, KALEELA, KONQUER, KODEXA FS
  • Creamwove papers (GSM 42-100) under brands KUANTUM GOLD, KAPPA PREMIUM, KOPY+
  • Specialty papers including bond, thermal, parchment, cartridge, ledger, colored papers with GSM range 40-200

  • Social Farm Forestry Program: Covers 19,600+ acres, target to expand to 75,000 acres by 2030
  • Clonal Propagation Center: Produces clones of Eucalyptus, Poplar, Casuarina, Melia and Subabul
  • Water conservation: Treated wastewater irrigates over 2000 acres, target to reduce freshwater consumption below 30 m³ per tonne
