The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) celebrated the 12th International Yoga Day with a mass yoga session at their Multi-Disciplinary Training Centre (MDTC) at Gandhi Darshan Complex, New Delhi. The event was graced by Chairman KVIC Shri Manoj Goyal as Chief Guest, who participated in the yoga session alongside officials, staff members, and dignitaries from the Khadi sector.

Chairman Goyal emphasized the importance of yoga for healthy aging, stating that yoga fosters balance and positivity as an Indian way of life. Following the yoga session, he planted a sapling under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign, urging participants to contribute to environmental conservation and building a greener India.

In his address, Goyal highlighted that both yoga and khadi have become global symbols of India's cultural identity under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. He reported significant financial achievements for the Khadi and Village Industries sector, revealing that the turnover crossed Rs. 1.87 lakh crore in the 2025-26 financial year while providing employment to over 2.04 crore people. The chairman expressed confidence that the sector would achieve its future turnover target of Rs. 2.51 lakh crore.

The event saw participation from officers and staff members of KVIC State Office (New Delhi), Khadi and Village Industries Bhavan, Resident Representative Office, Northern Zonal Office, and the Multi-Disciplinary Training Centre. The theme for this year's International Yoga Day was 'Yoga for Healthy Ageing', emphasizing the role of yoga in maintaining physical, mental, and emotional well-being throughout life.
