L&T announced strategic collaboration with France's Exail to supply advanced Unmanned Mine Counter-Measure Suite for Indian Navy's 12 MCMVs programme.
L&T will serve as prime contractor offering the suite to all participating shipyards, while Exail provides proven MCM technologies already deployed with global navies.
The partnership supports India's Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative with local industrial collaboration and aims to strengthen maritime security and Indo-French defence cooperation.
The unmanned MCM suite incorporates autonomous systems to detect, classify, identify and neutralize naval mines safely from stand-off distances.
