LanzaTech Inclusion in Russell Indexes

LanzaTech Global Inc (NASDAQ:LNZA) saw its shares rise 10.6% on Monday, 29 June 2026, following the company’s addition to both the Russell 3000 and Russell 2000 indexes. The inclusion became effective at the open of U.S. markets on 29 June 2026, while final index membership was confirmed after the market close on Friday, 26 June 2026, in accordance with FTSE Russell’s final reconstitution schedule.

The company’s placement in these indexes expands its visibility among institutional investors and passive index funds. Membership in the Russell 3000 also automatically places LanzaTech in the Russell 2000 small‑cap index, further broadening its exposure.

Jennifer Holmgren, Chief Executive Officer of LanzaTech, commented that the inclusion “will serve as a meaningful step forward for the institutional visibility of the Company” and is expected to increase the breadth of prospective institutional investors, allowing the firm to “tell our story to a wider universe within the investment community.”

The June reconstitution of the Russell U.S. indexes captures up to the 4,000 largest U.S. stocks as of 30 April, ranked by total market capitalization. Beginning in 2026, index membership remains in place for six months under FTSE Russell’s semi‑annual reconstitution schedule.

LanzaTech is a carbon‑management solutions company that uses a proprietary gas‑fermentation platform to convert waste carbon into valuable products. The firm is headquartered in Skokie, Illinois.
