Announcement
Largo Inc (TSX:LGO, NASDAQ:LGO), a vanadium producer, disclosed that it has restructured approximately $82.2 million of outstanding debt. The restructuring extends the original September 2026 maturity to March 2030, providing the company with additional financial runway.
Debt Restructuring Terms
The company and its Brazilian subsidiary, Largo Vanádio de Maracás S.A., entered into a binding term sheet with five commercial banks – Banco do Brasil S.A., Banco BTG Pactual S.A., Banco Bradesco S.A., Banco Santander (Brasil) S.A., and Caixa Econômica Federal. The revised agreement grants a six‑month grace period on principal repayments, followed by a 36‑month schedule of quarterly principal amortization, with interest payable on a monthly basis. The restructuring remains subject to final negotiation, execution of definitive documentation, settlement of the interest rate, and documentation of the collateral package.
Operational Context
LVMSA (Largo Vanádio de Maracás S.A.) owns and operates the Maracás Menchen Mine. The extended maturity is intended to support Largo’s operational plans, which include ramping up copper‑PGM concentrate production and preparing for the first shipment of high‑purity vanadium pentoxide to the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency under a $60 million order announced in July 2026.
Management Commentary
James Bannantine, Co‑Chief Executive Officer of Largo, stated that the extension of debt maturities from September 2026 to March 2030 gives the company greater runway as it focuses on improving operational performance and cash generation. He emphasized the company’s focus on tariff‑free high‑purity vanadium sales, including to the Defense Logistics Agency, and on increasing revenues from copper, gold, platinum and palladium by‑products while enhancing operating efficiencies across the organization.
