Learnbay, a Bengaluru‑based AI and data‑science upskilling institution, announced that from August 2026 its Generative AI and Agentic AI programmes will embed agent development, assessment and AI regulation directly into the core technical syllabus rather than as a separate specialisation. The change is driven by a 33 % year‑on‑year increase in AI and machine‑learning job postings in the Naukri JobSpeak Index for July 2026, the fastest‑growing segment, and a 1,165 % YoY surge in Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) roles reported by Live Data Technologies. A Deloitte‑NASSCOM study projects India’s AI talent demand to rise from 650,000 in 2022 to over 1.25 million by 2027, with the AI market expanding at 25‑35 % annually, outpacing skilled‑labour growth.

The revised syllabus retains core subjects—Python, SQL, machine learning, deep learning, natural‑language processing and cloud computing—and adds modules on generative‑AI application development, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) design, AI‑agent development and multi‑agent coordination, large‑language‑model orchestration, evaluation and testing frameworks for non‑deterministic systems, Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agent interoperability, LLMOps deployment and monitoring, and AI governance and responsible‑AI practices. Practical training involves 40 hours of focused Agentic‑AI instruction across four terms and more than 30 applied projects based on real business scenarios, using tools such as LangChain, LangGraph, Crew AI and the Hugging Face ecosystem.

Learnbay also launches an AI Co‑Lab that offers learners live problem statements from startups, allowing participants to bring current work‑related challenges and earn dual certification upon completion. The institution extends the same approach to its software‑engineering and analytics tracks, teaching software engineers to combine application development with AI solutions, a skill set aligned with the emerging Forward Deployed Engineer role that operates embedded with clients to translate real‑world constraints into AI solutions. The demand for such hybrid profiles is strong across consulting, product development and Global Capability Centres.

Curriculum updates are driven by an ongoing review process that incorporates feedback from hiring partners about interview difficulties and onboarding challenges. Co‑Founder and Chief Business Officer Abhishek Gupta explained that this feedback, while informal, provides current guidance for syllabus adjustments. COO Ravi Pradhan added that professionals benefit more from understanding how models function within systems, how outputs are reviewed, and how to address issues, rather than from isolated generative‑AI courses.

Learnbay delivers its programmes in collaboration with IBM, Microsoft and IIT Patna, maintains an academic partnership with Woolf University and is a member of NASSCOM.
